She forayed into showbiz by becoming the winner of Fairever Anandalok Nayikar Khonje talent hunt in 2006. One of the highest paid and leading actresses of Tollygunge Film Industry, Ganguly made her acting debut in 2007 with the Prabhat Roy film Pitribhumi (2007).
